How to Make Healthy Chicken Flautas

Honestly, my favorite dish for meetings and dinners is chicken flautas – there’s something irresistible about how simple the recipe and full of flavor this dish is! It’s tough to find the right words to say how amazing they are, mainly when I write about them, and it just feeds my cravings! So let’s skip the introduction and get straight to the fantastic things. Don’t miss out on how to make this fantastic chicken flutes recipe effortlessly. With a bit of change in mine, I’ve discovered that this recipe is not only quick and easy but delicious. Moreover, it’s a much healthier version of a tried and authentic Latin American dish.

Ingredients

 
Here are the ingredients : Canola or olive oil, three whole, split, boneless, skinless chicken breasts, 1 cup hot sauce, four tablespoons or more chopped green onions, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground cumin seeds, eight flour tortillas (7-8 inches), warmed, 1 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees to warm tortillas. Warm tortillas in the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. (Or heat tortillas in the microwave and loosely wrap the stack in paper towels. Wrap the chicken about 5 inches thick. Brush with oil and sprinkle with pepper and salt. Grill over coals until chicken is cooked through, about 6-8 minutes, turning halfway through.

Cut chicken into 1/4-inch strips/slices. Mix well. Place about 1/2 cup of the chicken mixture in the center of the warmed tortillas. Roll up tightly. Place seam side down in the skillet. Secure each flute with one toothpick to hold together. Spray lightly with cooking spray or brush with olive oil or canola oil. Bake 18-20 minutes or until crisp.

Remove toothpicks.No recipe could become one of my favorites if I didn’t play around with it. I’ve already discovered the following things as fantastic adaptations or improvements. By the way, the healthy recipe didn’t call for sprinkling the tops of the flautas or drizzling a little oil on them, but I thought it made them crispier.

Tips and Tricks
